Once you submit all your required documents, an application at 1400 Chestnut Apartments is typically fully processed within 24 to 48 hours.

Third-Party Lease Guarantors: 1400 Chestnut partners with institutional lease-guarantee services like TheGuarantors. If you lack a personal guarantor, you can pay a fee to this third-party service to act as your co-signer and guarantee your lease compliance.
The community accepts guarantors for standard market-rate applicants who do not independently meet the baseline screening criteria.
The community provides variable lease durations ranging anywhere from 3 to 15 months.
Varies depending on whether you are applying for a standard market-rate (3 times the monthly rent gross monthly income) unit or the Pilot Program (1 Person Household: Income capped up to $53,500 per year. 2 Person Household: Income capped up to $61,150 per year.).

Rent, Payments & Fees

Additional charges are itemized separately on the resident ledger, including parking, pet rent, pest control, trash fees, water and sewer, storage, and office spaces. Residents are responsible for setting up electric service directly with EPB in their name.
Residents can conveniently pay their rent and other monthly charges through Bilt, an online payment platform. Automatic payments can also be set up through the Bilt payment portal.
Residents have until the end of the day on the 5th of the month to submit payment without penalty. If rent has not been received by the 6th, it is officially considered late, and a late fee will automatically be posted to the resident ledger.
Conservice, a third-party company, calculates the utility allocations (such as the RUBS-formulated water and sewer costs) and generates a detailed statement each month. Residents do not pay Conservice directly.
